Johnelle Simpson uses his personal story to showcase how passion and hard work can lead to success as a leader.  Simpson believes that adversity and life's unfortunate events should be used as fuel on the road to success.  The stories and anecdotes Simpson shares takes crowd members on a journey that leaves them wanting to take their leadership to the next level.

Simpson, a first-generation college student, graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Risk Management & Insurance and Political Science.  From the small town of Donalsonville, Georgia, Simpson used his small town friendliness to lead him to the highest student leadership position, Student Body President, during his time at the University of Georgia.  He is currently pursuing a law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.  Since starting law school in the Fall of 2018, SImpson has been elected Vice-President of the Student Bar Association and appointed by the Chancellor to serve as a member of the University of Tennessee Campus Advisory Board.

Prior to attending law school, Simpson worked in education building internships and apprenticeships.  Simpson's work connected businesses in the Athens-Clarke County, Georgia area with high school students to promote workforce, community, and economic development.  The programming efforts provided by Simpson provided youth with career, life, leadership, and employability skills necessary for a successful future.  The partnerships allowed youth to bridge the gap between high school and postsecondary/workforce options.

In the community, Simpson serves as Vice President for Georgia Hugh O' Brian Youth Leadership.  Simpson has also served as a board member for the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, Athensmade, and Georgia 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees.
